Macromedia Inc. December 2000 - October 2005

Dreamweaver 8

Principal Software Engineer and sole Macintosh engineer for Dreamweaver. Primary feature contributer with zoom and guides features and well as maintaining the Mac compatibility layer for an application with over 1.5 million lines of C++ code. Also converted Dreamweaver to be a native Mach-O application, and provided support for other engineers developing on the Mac platform.

Extension Manager for Studio 8

Rewrote the Mac compatibility layer to use long file names, added full Unicode support, converted the Carbon PowerPlant application to use Cocoa, upgraded to be Mach-O, and use Xcode instead of CodeWarrior. As part of this conversion, brought the Mac UI to to par with the Windows version.

Fireworks 8

Senior Software Engineer and sole Macintosh engineer for my duration on the Fireworks 8 team. Primary feature contributer with the initial implementation of the CSS popup menus, the solid shadow live effect, direct camera import, and the ability to save multiple selections. Maintained the Macintosh application framework, converted Fireworks to be a native Mach-O application, and provided support for other engineers developing on the Mac platform.

Fireworks MX 2004

Senior Software Engineer and the primary Macintosh engineer. Primary feature contributer with the cross platform JavaScript communication (XML RPC) and the Macromedia Flash panel event features. Maintained the Macintosh application framework, converted Fireworks to use long Unicode file names, use Carbon Events, and provided support for other engineers developing on the Mac platform.

FreeHand MX

Loaned to the FreeHand team to help out implementing the Mac version of the MX interface, and increasing stability and performance.

Fireworks MX

Software Engineer and the primary Macintosh engineer. Primary feature contributer with major enhancements to the JavaScript popup menu feature, the Mac implementation of the MX interface, and helped finish up the port to Mac OS X. Maintained the Macintosh application framework and provided support for other engineers developing on the Mac platform.

Wonderware January 2000 - December 2000

InControl 7.11

Associate Software Engineer and contributing engineer. Maintained important components in the development IDE such as the symbol manager and FactoryObjects editor. Also maintained the automated build system.

As an Cooperative Education Student I maintained the automated build system, wrote automated test cases, and created internal tools for use on site.

East Tennessee State University September 1996 - May 2000

GPA of 3.8 out of 4.0. Honors include: University Honors Scholar, Upsilon Pi Epsilon, Kappa Mu Epsilon, Most Outstanding Student Overall in Computer Science, and magna cum laude.
